VISITING HOURS

The exhibitions in santralistanbul and the Museum of Energy are open to visitors free of charge between 08:30 and 17:00 on weekdays and weekends. santralistanbul is closed to visitors on public holidays and on the 1st Day of the New Year (January 1st).

The Museum of Energy visits are free of charge except for guided tours.

 

GUIDED TOURS

Private guided tours of the Museum of Energy can also be arranged. Lasting around 45 minutes, tours are tailored to visitors’ interests and given in Turkish or English as required. Guided tour groups are limited to a maximum of 25 persons.

 

Fees for private guided tours:

Adults: TL 50.00

University students: TL 40.00

 

Private guided tours must be booked in advance. To make a booking, visitors are asked to send an e-mail with their contact details to rehberliturlar@santralistanbul.org, specifying the date and time of the tour they wish to schedule.

 

 
 
 

 

GETTING HERE

santralistanbul is located in Silahtar at the confluence of the Kağıthane and Alibeyköy rivers and the Golden Horn.

By car from Beşiktaş or Taksim, taking the new Bomonti-Dolmabahçe and Piyalepaşa-Kağıthane road tunnels will cut journey time considerably. santralistanbul has on-site parking facilities with space for 600 vehicles. Besides the car, there is also public transport from Eminönü, Şişli and Taksim. By bus, the nearest stops are Bilgi University and Silahtar.

By sea route, santralistanbul is within easy walking distance of the Sütlüce or Eyüp Piers, both of which are on the İDO Golden Horn service operating between Üsküdar-Karaköy-Eminönü-Eyüp.
