santralistanbul Main Gallery building hosts American National History Museum’s "Climate Change: The Threat to Life and A New Energy Future" exhibition, which was visited by 237.000 people in New York. The exhibition realised with the main sponsorship of Türk Telekom takes place between 4 October 2011-15 January 2012 at the 1st floor. Informing about the most complicated, significant, scientific and social subject of 21st Century, the exhibition addresses visitors of all age and presents the effects of the climate change for future generation.

 

Brought by ArterTasarım from USA to Turkey, supported by REC Turkey and sponsored by Omo and Zorlu Energy Group, the exhibition is formed of 8 divisions including 4 interactive and 4 animated globes, 2 mini video shows and 20 exhibits. Climate Change exhibition addresses one of the most complex and urgent scientific and social issues of the 21st century: global climate change. The exhibition explains the science of climate change to visitors of all ages and explores the implications of unchecked climate change for future generations. While Climate Change makes clear that there is no single solution, it allows visitors to see how individual, collective, communal, and governmental actions in using energy more efficiently, in combination with pursuing promising new energy alternatives, can make a meaningful impact in reducing global warming.

 

Within the scope of the exhibition, there'll be also workshops for children and teenagers organized by REC Turkey. Reservation is required to participate to the workshops.

 

Visitor admission to the exhibition floor is limited to 50 people. Thus, reservation is required for groups of 10 people or more (especially for school groups) at least one week before.
